The Hunger Games is a book about a 16 year old girl that lives in the city of Panem. Panem is ruled by President Snow, Panem split up into Districts that each have there own function. There are 12 Districs and she lives in a small home with her sister and mother in District 12 the poorest District of them all.

The Hunger Games is a punishment to the districts for rebeling aginst the capital for the actions in the past. Each disthave to send a male and female between the ages of 12-18 to fight in an arena to the death. The last tribute standing will be crowned victor and recieve riches and glory. Every 25 years there is a Quarter Quell that has it's own extreme horror.

The Hunger Games

Katniss hunts in the forbidden woods to survive. Her father died in a mine explotion. Katniss's sister is reaped into the 74th Hunger Games at the age of twelve. Katniss volenters as tribute for Prim at the reaping.

The district 12 hunger games tributes is Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen.

In the Hunger Games she teams up with the District 11 tribute, Rue.

Marvel kills Rue, therefore Katniss kills him, there are 6 tributes left at this point. The game makers announce that two victors are alowd to win that must origonate from the same district.

Katniss looks for Peeta and finds him hiding hext to a stream badly injered.

She has to pretend to fall in love with him to get out of the games. They end up being the last two tributes. They were tricked.

Catching Fire

President Snow visits Katniss at her house. He tells her that the people of the districts didn’t believe that she was really in love with Peeta. He threatens to kill her loved ones if she doesn’t convince them. Instead, as she and Peeta went on the tour she adds fuel to the sharks of the rebellion. President Snow sends harsh peacekeepers to District 12 and they hurt her best friend.

Katniss is the only living district 12 surviver so she will be reaped into the 75th Hunger Games right after she survived the 74th. Romor has it that President Snow riged it because she defiled the capital. Katniss has desided that Peeta needed to win. She didn't even want him to go into the arena again anyway.

The tributes try to do everything they can to stop the games during the interveiws.

In the games Peeta and Katniss team up with the district 4 tributs, Mags and Finnick. Peeta almost dies, but Finnick saves him.

Mags dies and they go to the beach. They team up with Johannah, Wires, and Beetee. They figuer out the arena is a clock and that there is a new horro every hour. Wires dies. One hour Jabberjays mock the screams of their loved ones.

They come up with a plan to get rid of the rest of the tributs. In the end however the plan goes badly and Katniss brings down the force field and is rescued by District 13.

But District 13 doesn't save Peeta.

The Mockingjay

Peeta on television from the capital calls for a ceasefire which makes the rebels want to kill him. Katniss agrees to become the Mockingjay with a few conditions.

Katniss realizes that nobody knows what happened to district 12 and that she had to show them.

The capitol bombs district 13, but Peeta risks his life to save them. While district 13 is under attack Katniss realizes Snow is taunting Katniss with Peeta. The rebellion agrees to rescue Peeta, but Snow brainwashed Peeta so he’s afraid of Katniss. Katniss and a few others, known as the star squad, go to the capital to kill president snow. Coin, the leader of the rebellion is threatened by Katniss so she sends Peeta to the capitol with Katniss and the brainwash kicks in with all the chaos.

President Snow kills most of the group including Finnick. Peeta, Katniss, Gale, Cressida, and Pollux are the only people from the star squad who survived. They stay the night with Tigris, someone from the capitol who was treated badly by President Snow and willing to help the star squad.

The star squad split up. Katniss and Gale went toward Snow’s mation to kill him. Gale gets captured in the proces. Katniss finds Snow putting children in front of his mansion as a protection. However, capitol fighter planes flew over and dropped what looked like gifts, but were actually bombs. The rebellion soldiers went to help, including Prim, Katniss’s sister, but another round of bombs went off killing Prim.

The rebels win the war and Katniss stays in Snow’s mation. She doesn’t say anything after her sister died, not for a very long time.

After the war there are only a few victors left. Katniss is the one who is to kill President Snow. Coin makes herself temporary president, but it goes against everything that the war was about so Katniss knows she needs to take action.
