A good shooting form is necessary for your shots to go in.

Continue reading to learn how to have a good shooting form.

Face the basket To improve accuracy, locate the target (rim) as early as possible. Keep your eyes on the target and do not follow the flight of the ball. Keeping your target focus is very important!

Feet Point your feet in the direction of the basket. You should be on the balls of your feet while keeping them shoulder-width apart. Your feet should be shoulder width apart for good balance. Your feet should be in a slightly staggered stance that is consistent and comfortable for you. Flex/bend your knees on every shot.

Line up your Shot Line everything up so the ball and your shooting eye form a straight line to the basket. This is VERY important. Explode into your shot by pushing your hips back.

Follow Through If you keep up your follow through, it has more of a chance to go in. A shot with follow through has more momentum than a shot when you immediately take your arms down.
