I learned a lot of things during my research and one of them was hibernation which I found was really interesting. I learned that they are lactose intolerant, which when I found out I really wanted one, so I can have a buddy :) but my parents…. :/ I found out that they have 5000-7000 quills which I already knew that had alot of quills but ok i didnt ask. I learned that they only live for 3.5- 9 years which is sad :( and my hedgehogs will live LONG. I learned that a group of hedgehogs are called an array. I learned that they are nocturnal.

Why I think that everybody in the WORLD should get or should have hedgehogs is because they are adorable! And if you're lactose intolerant you can have a lactose intolerant buddy :) which I want but my parents said no but whatever, and if your hedgehog is illegal in your state, either move or uhm I don't know what to tell you uhm. Your hedgehog might have bad eyesight so they rely on their smell, taste, touch, and like all the other senses besides sight tho. If you want i mean need a pet hedgehog get the European one because they are kept as pets. They are nocturnal so uhm, they will be up if you're asleep.

□How to take care of a hedgehog□

DIET□

Hedgehogs have diets, they enjoy eating fresh fruits and vegetables. Dried fruit you should avoid. Fresh fruit is like treats to hedgehogs. Fresh tomatoes, fresh green beans, and cooked squash, are some options your hedgehog might enjoy. You might want to avoid starchy vegetables, corns, potatoes and carrots. They like cooked meat, and cooked eggs. When you cook your eggs they like it scrambled or hard-boiled.

HEALTH□

Hedgehogs might skin issues, lice and mite infestations, tumors. You also might want to consider brushing your hedgehogs teeth to prevent from losing teeth or dental problems. To brush your hedgies teeth you can use cat tooth paste and a small head tooth brush.

CAGES□

Yes cages are used for guinea pigs and rabbits, but hedgehogs can use them to. Hedgehogs could be injured if you use wire-gates cage bottoms. You should use soft bedding such as recycled matieral. In the cages
