Arbitrary Reasoning and Inquiries

Arbitrary Reasoning and Inquiries That I Retain In My Intellectual Cerebral Cortex

Do you like to weird out and/or confuse your friends? I do as well. That's why I wrote down some of my random thoughts and questions that my brain comes up with during random parts of the day. And sometimes in the middle of the night when I'm supposed to be asleep.

Maybe you've already thought of some of these things. Maybe not. Maybe you're just really bored and have nothing else to do. If any of the above, keep on reading. And maybe you too can weird out your friends with random facts.

A website with fun thoughts

I have many random thoughts and questions that just appear in my mind throughout the day. Some questions I have are “What does it feel like to die?” Or “Has anyone ever faked being deaf, blind, mute, etc?” Some random thoughts I have include “You could say goodbye to someone for the very last time and not know it.” And “In order to fall asleep, you have to pretend to be asleep.” Think about it.

Back to the faking being deaf, blind, mute, etc thing. If anyone has ever done that, did it work? If so, for how long? I mean, it probably could work for a while, but what happens if someone figures out that you're lying? What would you do then?

I’ve also wondered how the heck people find giraffes cute. Those things are super tall, have freakishly long limbs, and purple tongues. How is that cute to people? Those super sized horse-camels with purple tentacle looking tongues are terrifying. Also why are giraffes that tall? I know it’s because they need to be able to reach trees. But is that the only reason?

I wonder what goes on in a cat’s mind when they see birds and squirrels. My cat squeaks when she sees a bird or a squirrel. I always assumed that she’s thinking “OH MY GOODNESS, A BIRD! IT'S A BIRD! Can I eat it?” because that’s what it looks like. If she had the opportunity to eat one, she definitely would.

Another one

When did people discover that salt could be used as a seasoning? I know they used it for payment back in the olden days, but did they also use it to flavor their food at the same time? Which one came first? Salt the seasoning? Or salt the payment?

How do museum people know that they have skeletons looking right? I know that sometimes when they put together the bones, they do it wrong, even though it may look right.

How are cockroaches still alive? They’ve been around for like sixty bajillion years, but they’re still on this planet. Are they invincible? It seems like they are, because how else are they still here?

How long did it take Zacharias Janssen, the creator of the microscope, to make a working microscope? Microscopes can see cells, and cells are very, very, very, very, veeeeeerrryyyyy tiny. That must’ve taken a very long time for him to make it work the way he wanted it to.

I’ve never really questioned it, because I don’t really care, but why do cows need four stomachs? I looked it up on the Google.com, and it said that cows have four stomachs because they don’t completely digest the food, only partially. That’s kind of weird and a tad disturbing.

No one person hears your voice the same as you do. Think about that for a second. Kinda weird right? I don’t really like that. What if my voice sounds really ugly to someone?

This is the last one

Although it is very rare, if someone were to survive an execution, the people performing the execution would just kill them. Because they are still guilty of a very bad crime if it earned them the death sentence.

What does it look like to see your own decapitated body? Because when someone is decapitated, they are still alive for a few seconds, so they can see their decapitated body. But that's only if your head were to fall just perfectly enough to where you got to see your body.

Is there someone in the world that has at least 100,000 digits of pi memorized? In my room I have a packet of 100,000 digits of pi. I know 36 digits of pi. Who came up with pi? Who came up with math? How did they spread it to everyone and make them understand it? That sounds very difficult. Turns out Archimedes is the “Father of Mathematics.” He was a great mathematician, physicist, engineer, astronomer, and inventor. Sounds like a busy guy.

What does it feel like to be blind and deaf, like Helen Keller? I wonder how difficult her life must have been. If someone is mute, can they just not speak? Or is there something else behind that?

Ok, I lied. This is the last one

How long did it take to perfect markers? Like those things just ink onto your paper when you make contact between the two. Why do they dry out? Does the ink evaporate? How does chalk stay together? Because as soon as you drag it across the sidewalk, it’s gone. No more chalk.

How is height genetic? Is tall height or short height more dominant? I wouldn’t know. Both of my parents are short, so of course I’m short. Because there are like, hundreds of genes that go into making your height.

Why is talking in public so stressful? I know not everyone thinks that, but a couple people do. For me, I think it’s the fear that people will think I’m boring or something. There are a lot of judgemental people in the world, and I'm just afraid that those people will be listening to me talk in public and start judging me. Hopefully not. That would be bad for my ego. I don't even know if I have that much of an ego. Compared to some of my friends, I don't have an ego because some of them have really big ones.

Anyways, bye bye.
