Mempops is a local popcicle place in Memphis, TN. They have 2 stores at the moment. One on 1234 Ridgeway Rd, the other is in Crosstown! It was founded by Chris Taylor and JC Youngblood when they had an idea pop in there head. On the website you can find below you can click on his story and how he thought of it. Taylor started out with carts and stands in local parks like Shleby Farms.
Mempops was founded in 2015 by Chris Taylor. He said, “It all began with a simple idea. I like the simple things in life and I think others really do too. Fresh, clean, simple, and fun. Then the idea popped into my head. So that’s my story and I think it’s pretty cool.” Ever since, he started with mempop carts and transformed it into what is now 2 locations in Memphis.
I like this topic because Mempops is one of my favorite dessert places. Also, I think it is pretty unique because not many places sell just popsicles like Mempops do. My favorite flavor is strawberry, but I get it dipped in chocolate.
I have a mempops shirt and so does my sister, mom, and dad. We usually go with my cousins, Banks and Solaman. They really like chocolate pop with even more chocolate dipped. You also get to sit in the store and eat your mempop. Not only do they have stores, they also have carts around shelby farms. You can also have private event food trucks and carts.
